RESPONSIBLE TRADE
Responsible Trade: Rather than settle only for the motto of Fair Trade, Vereda Central also adheres to Responsible Trade. Responsible Trade with local Colombian farmer partners is embedded in every step of our bean sourcing process. Our goal is to establish long-term relationships with all of our growers, because our roots will always lie in Colombia. We analyse samples of each crop and discuss our findings with the farmer at no cost to them so that they may adjust their agricultural techniques to meet our standards and to continually improve their product. We offer a financial bonus to farmers that produce excellent quality beans. We seek to directly benefit the coffee farmer helping them to improve their quality of life by receiving additional reward for quality work. Our hands-on approach to sourcing facilitates the precise traceability of every coffee bean we roast.
